The Salucop Winemakers
The Salucop sisters re-established their great-grandfather’s wine brand on May 14, 2013, centuries after the family made their first wine. Named Basi del Diablo Wines because of an old story from their grandfather Benito, the brand now has six different wines under its name.

The Wine Named After A Hero
Saralogo Ambaristo is believed to be the right-hand man of Pedro Mateo – the leader of the Basi Revolt. The revolt took place in the Ilocos region in the year 1807 when the Philippines was still under the Spanish Crown.
To commemorate the life of this Ilocano hero, Basi del Diablo Wines named one of its sweetest red wines after him.
Straight from the Bodega
Only a hundred of bottles of the De La Bodega are produced by the Salucop winemakers each year. Made from moscato and sugarcane, this unique wine is a wonderful choice for summer drinking.
Sweet, light, and bursting with citrus and floral notes, the De La Bodega pairs beautifully with pastries, shellfish, and dark chocolate.

This Wine Is For You, Mum
To honour their mother’s life and legacy, the Salucop sisters named one of their six wines after their mum Dina.
Made from sugarcane and chardonnay, Basidina is a gorgeous wine often described as refreshing and fragrant.
Cabernet Sauvignon and Sugarcane
Basi Maria is intense with an almost forgettable bitter finish. It offers a polished taste of the Old World, with a high alcohol content that makes it generous in the mouth.
Like our grandmother Maria Cuanang, it is not overbearing and its structure makes up for its lack of sweetness. It is perfect for rainy days or when it is cold. It is our ode to her and to all the afternoons that she spent with us.

Virginia Blush Makes Us Blush
Virginia Blush is often described as a simple rosé but underneath its inviting crystal pink hue is a cheerful wine meant to be versatile rather than just drank for or with dessert.
It is an indispensable ally for dinner parties, especially when one is at a loss on what wine to serve. It does pair well with pastries and cakes but can hold its own when drank with pasta topped with rich, creamy sauce. Interestingly, this sugarcane and grape concoction also goes well with red sauce.
Basi Puro
Basi del Diablo’s Basi Puro is the first wine we ever made.
Passed on from our great-grandfather to us his great-granddaughters, Basi Puro is the very essence of the brand. It is the basis of all our other wines. Basi Maria, Ambaristo, De La Bodega, Virginia Blush, and Basidina won’t be here without it.
